University of Texas of the Permian Basin

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is located
in the heart of the Midland-Odessa metropolitan area of
West Texas. UTPB has a student population of 2,150 of which
500 are graduate students. The University offers 23 undergraduate
programs and 18 masters degree programs through its College
of Arts & Sciences, School of Business, and School of
Education. In 1995 the John Ben Shepperd Public Leadership
Institute was established by act of the Texas Legislature
as part of UTPB. This Institute is quickly becoming a national
center for leadership studies. Masters degree programs in
Criminal Justice Administration and Professional Accountancy
enrolled their entry classes in the Fall of 1997.
