Located about 65 miles southwest of Fort Worth in Stephenville, Tarleton State University has a current enrollment exceeding 6,500. As a member of the Texas A&M University System since 1917, Tarleton offers 69 undergraduate majors and 15 graduate programs in five academic colleges: Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Agriculture and Technology, Education and Fine Arts and Graduate Studies. Tarleton's Office of International Education offers an exchange program with four main Mexico universities. The universities, located in Mexico City, Monterrey and Saltillo, give students access to 35 universities within Mexico. The Office of International Education is also a member of the Texas Study Abroad Consortium Program which is a worldwide affiliation.
