CONSULTING SERVICES

TIEC consulting activities span all levels of educational issues including:

• Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis services for a government agency, an entire university, or the development of a new college or university.
  
  
• Management Practices in educational organizations of all sizes and complexity.
  
  
• Detailed Operations of educational organizations, including academic program design and delivery, as well as administrative systems design and implementation.

Specific project experience includes:

• Development of a New University. TIEC’s approach in providing assistance in the design of a new university involves working closely with the client group to:
  
  
  • determine educational needs,
  • analyze market conditions and competitive advantages,
  • define the mission and goals,
  • develop the academic programs,
  • determine faculty and staff needs,
  • design the administrative organization,
  • draft academic and administrative policies and procedures,
  • estimate total facility and information technology requirements, and
  • project financial resource needs for continuing operations.
    
    

  TIEC will also assist with the initiation of an educational organization by:

  • recruiting faculty and administrative leadership,
  • advising on academic and management issues,
  • arranging for the acquisition, delivery, and installation of equipment, and/or
  • supporting any other activities required for the effective implementation of a new institution.

• Organizational and Administrative Development. TIEC is experienced in:
  
  
  • conducting institutional assessments and development plans,
  • designing administrative structures and systems for management,
  • developing specifications for telecommunications and computing hardware, operating systems software, and management information systems,
  • optimizing administrative processes required for achieving efficient and effective management, and
  • conducting organizational and administrative reviews.

• Academic Program Development. TIEC has worked with many pre-K through 12th grade and higher educational institutions to:
  
  
  • design or revise complete curricula,
  • develop pedagogical methods, materials, and instructional technologies,
  • advise on testing and evaluation strategies and methods,
  • train faculty and program administrators, and
  • deliver actual courses when requested.
