Vice President, Texas International Education Consortium
TIEC is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual for the position of Vice President. Reporting directly to the President, this individual leads TIEC's program development efforts while assuming senior managerial responsibility for multiple areas of TIEC operations including internal operations and finance, external corporate relations, and functional oversight of TIEC training and consultancy contracts.
The Vice President works closely with the President and TIEC Board of Directors in the development and execution of corporate strategy and in the formulation and implementation of TIEC policies and procedures. She/he directs the annual budget process and assists the President in fostering closer cooperation and collaboration between TIEC and its affiliated universities. As the chief development officer, the Vice President seeks out and promotes new business opportunities and international partnerships on behalf of TIEC and its member institutions.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. degree, with significant managerial and leadership experience in a public university setting. Other desired qualifications include demonstrated team-building and communication skills, overseas residency and work experience, fluency in at least one language other than English, knowledge of nonprofit operations, familiarity with both the marketing and operational aspects of study abroad programs and international student recruitment, and a willingness to engage in significant international and domestic travel.
