Classes Designed for Groups of All Kinds

The Texas Intensive English Program (TIEP) develops and conducts specially-designed programs for specific international groups. These can range from faculty wanting to develop proficiency in English, to teachers of English desiring curriculum development programs, to business groups desiring specific skills in corporate English communication, and to high school and university students wanting language and culture programs.

TIEP Special Programs are offered year-round and can be arranged at the group’s convenience in sessions of different lengths. Classes are taught by experienced, professionally-trained faculty with graduate degrees. Class size is limited to maximize participation and progress.

Student facilities include a multimedia computer lab and Internet access, an English Skills Center, and a tape library. TIEP administers the Institutional TOEFL, the TOEIC, and an English Proficiency Evaluation. Also available are optional short courses on special topics, extra-curricular social and cultural activities, and assistance with housing arrangements.
