The Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) is seeking an accounting intern to assist the accounting department in financial accounting and reporting.
The learning opportunities include but are not limited to:
Assist with general accounting duties and support programs and Accounting department with financial accounting and reporting.
Learn about various grant-funded accounting processes, donor reports, and donor reporting requirements.
Support and learn the external auditing processes and requirements in a non-profit organization
Learn about non-profit operations and administration.
Basic accounting and finance knowledge, some experience is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Computer savvy – Excel, accounting software systems, Google Sheets, Smartsheets.
Senior-year student in accounting or finance.
A minimum of 16 hours is required to complete the internship. Final schedule to be determined between management and student.
Interns who successfully complete a 12-week internship with TIEC will receive a $500 stipend award. As we understand you need a work/life balance, we will do our very best to offer flexibility in work schedule.
