TIEC Submits Panel Picker for 2019 SXSW EDU Conference

The Texas International Education Consortium has submitted a panel proposal for the 2019 SXSW Education Conference and we need your vote!

SXSW is an annual grouping of festivals and conferences in education, film, interactive media, and music that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas. Every year, it opens the floor for panel submissions from the community and asks the public to vote for the panel it would like to see discussed.

This year a record number of nearly 1,500 proposals were received for SXSW EDU, one of which is a proposal to discuss the current state of international education with TIEC President Robin J Lerner, J.D. and TIEC Vice President Ryan Buck, PhD.

From losing the market share to losing global influence, the steady increase of international students studying in the United States has turned into a decline. TIEC’s submission, entitled, “The Fight for International Ed in Turbulent Times,” will discuss the necessity of international education in our global economy, and shifting language in the new era of international education.

Help make the Texas International Education Consortium’s proposal stand out of the crowd, and vote for us! The voting period ends August 31, and each person can only vote one time for each proposal–so vote today! Unsure of how to vote? Read our Mailchimp email with complete instructions.
