Ms. Blackmon joined TIEC in January 2022 and has since provided leadership in the implementation and evaluation of effective, quality online and in-person international programming. Guided through research-based best practices, she facilitates programs for global partnership and increased educational access and opportunities through TIEC. In addition, she executes the daily operations of TIEC’s J Visa Exchange Program, effectively serving 11 participating universities. 

Prior to her time at TIEC, Ms. Blackmon supported local nonprofit, government, and academic institutions in public programming, object-based learning, and cultural resource management. A born and raised Texan, she enjoys live music, camping, and sharing the beauty of the Lone Star State. She earned her M.S. in Information Studies with a portfolio in Museum Studies and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Texas at Austin.
