TIEC Vice President Ryan Buck, PhD, was invited by the Fulbright Commission in Colombia to speak at the orientation for a group of 120 Colombian Fulbright Scholars preparing to leave for their placements around the United States, including several Texas universities.

The Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) welcomed the American University in Cairo (AUC) President Francis Ricciardone and his Associate Provost for Strategic Enrollment Management, Dr. Ahmed Tolba, to Texas to help foster connections and possible partnerships between AUC and a dozen TIEC member universities.

On April 22-28, 2018, TIEC President & CEO Robin Lerner, JD, was invited as a distinguished guest of the Korea Foundation, an organization affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, for a short-term educational fellowship.

The Texas International Education Consortium invited Ms. Karen Hawkins, director of the Office for Private Sector Exchange Designation, to TIEC headquarters on April 18 and 19, 2018, to speak about The U.S. Exchange Visitor Program and discuss opportunities for Non-USG entities to host their own international exchange programs.
