Christina Gamiño joined TIEC in May 2023, having worked in the international education field for many years prior. She is passionate about learning other languages and cultures in order to connect with and learn from people around the world.

She studied abroad in Strasbourg, France, during her junior year at Boston College, and after graduating, she taught math and English at the American School of Brasília in Brazil for four years. She earned her master’s degree in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Florida International University.

After working in human resources for multinational corporations, she was fortunate to have the opportunity to utilize her background to teach English and cross cultural adjustment to international graduate business students at DePaul University in Chicago. She and her family relocated to Austin in 2018, and she managed international higher education programs at UT before coming to TIEC. Christina is so grateful to have had all her international opportunities, which have been life-changing experiences, and she loves developing and fostering similar cross-cultural opportunities for others.
