Huston-Tillotson University (HT), with roots dating to 1875, is the oldest institution of higher education in Austin, Texas. This historically black institution (HBCU) offers the master’s degree in business and education. Additionally, it offers the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees in more than 20 areas of study, including a BS in Mechanical Engineering. HT is affiliated with The United Methodist Church and the United Church of Christ. The educational experience engages a diverse population for academic achievement with an emphasis on academic excellence, spiritual and ethical development, civic engagement, and leadership in a nurturing environment.
