About

The founders of PMU, led by HRH Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd Bin Abdulaziz, wanted it to become a leading university by focusing not only on strong academic programs and high standards, but also on educating the “whole student” as well as providing academic training for employment, infusing Information Technology throughout the curricula and university operations, building strong linkages with local business and industrial communities, and establishing international affiliations. Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC), during (2003 – 2006), worked with the founders of PMU to develop an academic and administrative design that would give PMU a solid foundation to become a strong international university. The partnership with TIEC continues as reflected in the review and update of existing academic programs and the design of new programs. PMU currently encompasses a number of Colleges, including the College of Engineering, College of Computer Engineering and Science, College of Business Administration, College of Law, College of Architecture and Design, and College of Science and Human Studies. It also established a number of Centers such as Artificial Intelligence Center, Center for Futuristic Studies, Patent Center, and a Center for Creativity and Entrepreneurship.
